This is a scrapbook page that I entered for On Assignment Nov 09 for Scrapbook Etc magazine. I think it turned out great !!! I hope they think so. I made each sunflower by hand with punches and Slice machine. Each sunflower was punched with the 1 inch scollop punch and cut between each pedal, stems were crimmped and cut and the long stems were cut with Slice machine. I added layers, ribbon and page corners. The corners were punched with Making Memories punch.

Oh, what a week !! We have had lots of work this week !!! I am so tired and ready for bed tonight....been up since 6am and it has been a very long day :)

We had a fun day today....went swimming, cookout and now ready for bed. Derrick had a fun time swimming...water was 80 degrees :)

Yesterday was my Birthday and I wanted to tell what Derrick done for me. I picked him up at his grandmother's house last night and he had me a card a note in the card. The note was telling me how much he loved me and I was the best Mama. He also wrote me a poem that was so pretty. This little boy is so sweet and it made me cry.

Well, today was my Birthday !!! I am not sure if I feel any older today....LOL :) It has been a very long day with work today and tonight.

My weekend....
It was a busy one to say the least. I run after a 3 year old girl all weekend. Derrick was a big help with her. She is a sweet little girl and I miss her tonight.
I think I need another weekend to recover from this weekend....LOL.

I just submitted my layout to Scrapbooks etc magazine. So far there have been over 100 layouts submitted. So, maybe I will have a chance. I also submitted a picture of Derrick for kids contest for Spring. There is over 500 for this one....but gave it a chance anyway :) Of course, I think Derrick is the most handsome one in the bunch :)

This is a picture from last year 2008. Derrick does not want any eggs this Easter so I guess I will not be making any :( He said that he is to big for this now.

I love the way they turned out.

Not much going on today. I spent most of the day working on paperwork for the business and then off to work.
I would love to have a "me" day:) I think I will take one very soon:)

This is the picture collage that I am going to submit to Scrapbook etc. magazine. I have to add this to a scrapbook page and decorate. This will be for the October 2009 issue. I would be so excited if my layout gets picked to be published. I will post the completed page when I get it finished.

Being a Mama is a never ending job....but well worth it :) My son is very demanding and he is very spoiled...and I mean spoiled !!! He has been #1 since March 9,1999 and will always continue to be. I would not have it any other way.

He is 10 years old.
He is in the 4th grade.
He is learning to play the drums.
He is learning to play guitar.
He is growing up so fast.

He is still my baby !!

YAY.....the weekend is here. It has been a very long and hard week. I am still in so much pain with my foot and not walking very well. I am so ready for the pain to go away. I guess if it does not go away I will have to go and get a shot :( I really do not want to do that. I don't know how long I can take this pain and walking on my tip toes.
I am going to try to relax and enjoy the weekend....but I am sure that there will be something to do.....like always !!!!

Last night I woke up with foot pain and it was PAIN !!!! I tried to get up but I could not even stand up. I was hurting very bad !!! This morning I found out that I have a heel spur. I am suppose to put ice on it in the morning and heat at night. I am still in lots of pain tonight. I have to hop on my other foot or walk on my toes.
It has been a hard day :( I am hoping that it gets better soon.
